SWAA rejects the outrageous and outlandish attacks by Glenn Beck of FOX News against Frances Fox Piven.
Her scholarly work and activism have been central to the fight for social and economic rights for our
nation's poor. Beck's delusional analyses of Piven's work not only distorts her work, but has
generated a slew of violent threats against Piven. Beck and FOX News must take responsibility for
the irrational frenzy they create with their broadcasts. SWAA encourages all members to demand FOX
and Beck be accountable for their actions:
