Her stories highlighted the harrowing experience of being silenced by the mainstream political parties and the triumphs of showing the increased desire for a true progressive political party in the US. Other featured speakers were Mic Crenshaw of the Hip Hop Congress, Paul Boden of the Western Regional Advocacy Project, Monica Beemer of the US Social Forum, and Barbara Kasper/Melissa Sydor of the Rochester NY SWAA chapter.
