#RadChat – Decolonizing Clinical Social Work

June 15, 2023
8:00 PM Eastern Time (US & Canada)

Please join members of the SWAA National Steering Committee in an open discussion about the ways in which we are currently (or can envision) decolonizing therapy/clinical practice.

  • What changes have you made or would you have to make in order to decolonize your own approaches to clinical practices?
  • What are the barriers holding us back from accomplishing this, as individuals and collectively?
  • What will be different about your work through the process of decolonization, and how will service recipients notice that difference in their experiences?

This space will be open for anyone at any level of engagement with clinical practice (including as a recipient of services) to speak honestly about our experiences, what inspires us to do the work of decolonizing, and to imagine ways in which we can serve and care for others with a focus on social justice and critical analysis of current systems.”
